One can’t dispose of it, even as one can’t dispose of an unsavory thought-picture in a fantasy; so the character of the body to be next achieved by one is dead set in like manner, i.e., by the last thought.
As to the arrangement of steps in every way, since Agni was accepted to be the main pioneer of the spirit on its way, and both ways finished with the entries of the sun, the beginning and ending focuses in this way settled, it was not hard to fill in the middle steps. The double character of the world is showed in Agni as fire and smoke. The fire was accordingly the beginning stage of one way and smoke, of the other.
